ANTHONY G. DEBLY

Anthony G. Debly, B.A., M.A., LL.B., was born in Windsor, Ontario and received all of his university degrees from the University of Windsor.

He was the prosecutor for the City of Windsor for fifteen years before setting up his private practice in 2008.

Memberships & Associations

Mr. Debly is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Essex Law Association. He is the Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Mother Teresa Council No. 12494. He was also Vice-President of the Windsor Bulldogs Disabled Sports Club.

Mr. Debly has been a volunteer with Easter Seals of Southwestern Ontario for many years. He is also a member of the Canadian Transport Lawyers’ Association.

Education & Experience

Debly Law was established in 2008. Its President, Mr. Anthony G. Debly, attended at the University of Windsor and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) in 1981; his Master of Arts Degree (M.A.) in 1985; and his Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B.) in 1987. Mr. Debly was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989.

Mr. Debly worked for the City of Windsor as a Solicitor (By-Law Prosecutor) for over fifteen years. He prosecuted thousands of cases against persons charged under City of Windsor licensing and regulatory By-Laws, and the Building Code Act, and has appeared in Appellate Courts on behalf of the City of Windsor.

Anthony Debly is now in private practice and can assist you in dealing with any municipal matters including charges laid by any municipality, business licensing matters and rezoning applications.

He can provide you with legal representation at Boards and Commissions such as Landlord and Tenant Board hearings, and Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO) hearings. He can also provide you with quality traffic ticket defence, and representation in Small Claims Court matters.
